Windows 7 Review

Print

For the first time in a while I am really stoked about a Microsoft product.  Not since Microsoft Flight Simulator X have they created something this cool.  I have beta tested this operating system at work for the past six months but I am pleasantly surprised with the final product.  I have not received one error message all day and have installed my programs in half the time it took with XP.  I am now able to take advantage of Direct X 11, making a skip from DX9 and I'm blown away at the clarity of Left 4 Dead.  It's definitely worth the upgrade.  Just make sure your system can run it.  Mine looks like this:

ABIT IP35 Pro
GeForce 8800GTS
2GB Corsair XMS Memory (I have 2 more gigs coming in the mail, but so far, I'm running very very smoothly)
WD Caviar Blue 350gig SATA HD
WD MyBook 350gig SATA HD (It used to be a MyBook but the USB controller died and it was extracted from it's plastic shell and internalized)
Corsair 650W power supply (upgrading that to 800W soon for good measure)
