41.4 Mile Flume Trail Loop
For those of you who use Google Earth, here is the file for the ride if you want to see the stats in depth.
I couldn't sleep the night before this ride. I wasn't nervous, I just wasn't tired. At 1:30 in the morning the lights in the garage were supervising my McGyverish attempts to mount my Garmin to a bike where there is no mount. I came up with a pretty bomb-proof velcro solution and went to bed. My alarm was set for 7:00 but for some reason I woke up at 6:00 thinking it was later. I packed my stuff up and met the group out in the center of Northridge. We set out on a quest for fun and boy oh boy did we find it. I've been told that we had 4,491 feet of elevation gain an total on the ride. My GPS said that we had 5:14 in the saddle and 1:40 of rest time. I had a measly 43.4 Mph max speed which I'm sure is weak sauce compared to the other riders. I'm not nearly as sore as I thought I would be but my body is sapped of energy. Check out the pics below and follow the links to see how things went. You can click here if you want, be warned it's a slideshow and I can understand if you have a hatred of them.
